GETTING TO AND FROM CHESTERFIELD COUNTY
The major highway trade routes through Chesterfield County are U.S. Highway 1, U.S. Highway 601, and U.S. Highway 52 – all three of which travel north-south, and is ideally located near 5 major interstate highway systems – I-95, I-77, I-20, I-26, and I-85, and 24 miles away to the Outer Loop of I-485 in Charlotte.
Chesterfield County has access to two commercial airports – Charlotte Douglas International which is approximately 45 minutes from Chesterfield County and Florence Regional Airport which is 30 minutes to the south of Chesterfield County. There are also airports in Cheraw, SC, Pageland, SC and Monroe, NC.
Chesterfield County is 1 hour away from Dillon Inland Port; less than 3 hours from the Port of Charleston via U.S. 52, I-95 and I-26 to Charleston; and approximately 2 hours from the Port of Wilmington via U.S. 1 or U.S. 52 to U.S. 74 and to Wilmington – providing local business and industry with access to two of the best port facilities on the eastern seaboard.
